Train Set 1 Mimic (for Flowol 3)

This is a FREE 3D Train Set Mimic for Flowol 3. This mimic is already included with Flowol 4. Build a flowchart to control the animated train, barriers and lights.

  • PC computer with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista or Windows 7 (either 32bit or 64bit supported)
  • 1MB of Hard Disk space

Installation Instructions

Download and Install TrainSet1.msi.

Apple Mac

  • Flowol 3
  • Apple Mac computer with either Intel or PowerPC G4 or G5 processors
  • Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.5 (Leopard) or 10.4 (Tiger)
  • 1MB of Hard Disk space

Installation Instructions

Download the TrainSet1.dmg file to your computer. The disk image should then momentarily mount. Locate the Flowol 3 application bundle on your computer and drag the TrainSet1 application inside. To do this, right-click on Flowol3.app and chose 'Show Package Contents', this will open a new window titled 'Flowol3', drag the TrainSet1 application into that window. Then run Flowol 3 and choose your mimic.

Installation Notes

  1. Flowol 3 needs to be installed before you can install the Train Set 1 Mimic.
  2. You need to be logged on as an Administrator to install this mimic.
  3. This download is an msi installer. This can be assigned to workstations as a package. (There are no shortcuts with the mimics).
  4. If the Flowol program was open (in use) before installation, exit and restart Flowol before trying to use the mimics.

Performance Notes

  • The 3D mimics work best on computers with hardware OpenGL support. If you have hardware OpenGL support, try running the mimics with anti-aliasing turned on for a better image. Turn anti-aliasing on by opening the Settings menu and choosing "Options...", then tick "Use anti-aliasing" under the Mimic tab.
  • Make sure your computer has the latest graphics drivers.
  • If animation is slow, close down any other programs and reduce the size of the mimic on the screen to improve performance.
