The VEX Robotics Design System offers students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

The controller at the heart of the VEX Robotics system is the VEX Cortex which is a very powerful ARM based microcontroller. It is a very powerful controller supporting many different outputs, motors and sensors.

Flowol 4 supports connection to the VEX Cortex with a direct USB cable or over the wireless VEXnet connection with the VEX Joystick. Flowol 4 supports the VEX Cortex on both Windows PC and Apple Mac computers.

VEX Cortex Competiton Modes can be used to control which threads (Starts) run in the VEX Robotics Competition. If you don't have a VEX Competition Switch, the modes can be simulated from Flowol 4.
